In 2005, Punjab examination commission (PEC) was established by the Punjab government as a commanding body to hold the exams for 5th and 8th class students. Through the examination system PEC evaluates the learning the attainments of the students and as well as the respective schools. Since its inauguration it has improved the examination and evaluation system. It has the responsibility to conduct exams in an unbiased environment for each district and after the completion of exams it sends the papers to qualified teachers and later on announces the results for both public and private sector schools.
There are five or six regions which are linked with Multan board and these are Multan, Pakpatan, Vehari, Khanewal, Sahiwal and Lodhran.
