Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISEs) 9th class annual examination are conducted every year in the month of March. In Pakistan every province arranged 9th class exam according to their schedule. Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Balochistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir are the provinces of Pakistan in which educational boards conduct every year 9th class annual exam. Punjab province educational board including Lahore Board, Gujranwala Board, Multan Board, Faisalabad Board, Sargodha Board, Rawalpindi Board, Bahawalpur Board and DG Khan Board mostly conduct the 9th class exam in March and last year first paper was scheduled on March 22, 2011. 9th Class Date Sheet mostly announced one month before the commencement of exams every year.
In the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa educational boards name as Peshawar Board, Swat Board, Kohat Board, Malakand Board, Abbottabad Board, Bannu Board, Mardan Board and Dera Ismail Board conduct the 9th class exams every year mostly in the March and last year first paper was scheduled on March 16, 2011.
Karachi Board, Sukkur Board, Hyderabad Board, Larkana Board and Aga Khan Board are the educational boards of Sindh province and these boards conducted the 9th class exams in the month of April last year and the first paper was scheduled on April 19, 2011. Balochistan province has only one educational board i.e. Quetta Board. BISE Quetta conducts 9th class exams 2011 in the Month of February and last year paper were commenced from February 21, 2011. Azad Jammu and Kashmir, likely to Balochistan province has one educational board i.e. BISE AJK. Last year AJK Board conducted 9th class exams 2011 in the Month of March and the first paper was schedules on March 31, 2011.
