Punjab University BA Private Admission FAQs



When does the university starts registration for BA private students?
 
The registration process starts in the beginning of August and continues till the end of December. 
 
How much registration fee university get?
 
With Single Fee: Rs. 3,720 (August 15tht, 2020 to October 15th, 2020)
With late Fee: Rs. 3,720+1000 (October 16th, 2020 to November 15th, 2020)
Double Fee: Rs 3720+3720 (November 16th, 2020 to December 14th, 2020)

From where can i get registration form?

Private students can get the registration forms from the official website of University. 

What is the last date for submission of registration form?

Registration process continues till the end of December.

What is registration Card?

After sending the complete registration form to Registration Branch, university issues Registration Card. Duration for issuance of Registration Card is tentatively 45 days after receipt of form.

What is the registration criterion?

Students who have passed intermediate or equivalent examination can apply for BA private examinations or students who have passed supplementary examination needed to attach the original failure certificate of annual examination with registration form.

Is there any difference between registration and admission process? 

Yes, registration usually starts in April, almost one year before the exam’s commencement and admissions usually starts in August. Before getting admission you have to register yourself.

Which documents are required for registration?

  • Matric, Intermediate, or IBCC equivalence certificate.
  • The attested copy of CNIC of the candidate and his / her father.
  • One Original Photograph.
  • NOC if the F.A or equivalent exam has been passed to the Council outside the jurisdiction of the University of Punjab.
  • The original Bank Challan.

Should I attest the registration form?

Yes, the candidate should fill his / her form himself / herself and get it attested from a gazetted officer.

Can I send the registration form by post?

Yes, Registration forms can only be received by hand or by post individually. Registration form can be sent at this address: Deputy Registrar (General), Registration Branch, Admin Block, Quid-e-Azam Campus (New Campus), Department of Examinations, University of the Punjab, P.O. Box No. 54590, Lahore.

Can I download the admission form?

Yes. you can download the admission form from the official website of university.

When does the university starts admission for BA private students?

The registration process begins in August.

How much admission fee I have to pay?

  • BA(composite): 4,880/- Rs
  •  BA(part-1 & 2): 4,490/- Rs

What is the deadline for submission of application form?

The admission process continues till the end of December/January. 

Is there any document require to attach with admission form?

Yes, Candidates are required to attach the following documents along with the admission form.

  • Copy of Registration Card
  • Copy of Matriculation Certificate
  • Copy of Intermediate Certificate
  • Copy of B.A./B.Sc. Result Card (if already appeared)
  • Copy of National Identification Card

Is there any instruction that I should follow?

  • Applicant needed to paste three latest identical passport size Photographs, duly attested, (with sky blue background) at the specified places of the admission form (Name and Father's Name must be mentioned on the back side of photographs).
  • Candidates have to deposit the required amount of fee in any Branch of Habib Bank Limited. In case of any deficiency in the fee the form will not be entertained.
  • Admission Form will be accepted according to the schedule notified by the University for each Examination.
  • The Admission form along with original fee payment challan must reach the Punjab University office within due date otherwise the form will be rejected.
  • The candidate who has passed Intermediate/Higher Secondary examination from some other University/Board should submit the original migration certificate along with photocopies of other certificates.
  • The candidate who is residing outside the territorial jurisdiction of the Punjab University should submit N.O.C. of the University in whose territorial jurisdiction he/she is residing.
  • The private candidate who has offered Science subjects should submit practical certificate of his/her undergone the practical training in a Laboratory recognized by the Punjab University. The practical certificate produced by the candidate will be got verified from the Institution concerned.
  • The candidates of 2nd or 3rd Division are allowed to improve the Marks/Division in two consecutive Annual chances in one sitting immediately after passing the examination.
  • Incomplete forms shall be rejected and returned directly.

Should I submit NOC certificate?

The candidate who is residing outside the territorial jurisdiction of the Punjab University should submit N.O.C. of the University in whose territorial jurisdiction he/she is residing.

Which are compulsory subjects for BA private candidates?

Compulsory Subjects: 

  • English Language (200 marks)
  • Islamiyat/ Ethics  (40 marks)
  • Pakistan Studies  (60 marks)

Which are elective subjects for BA private candidates?

Elective Subjects: (200 marks each, Choose 2 subjects)

When does the university issues date sheet for BA private candidates?

PU generally announces its annual examination date sheets a month before the exams commencement, usually in February. When does the university starts BA final exams for private candidates? Punjab University starts Annual examination for BA private candidates in the month of March every year.

    I want to know that i gave papers of b.a part 1 in year 2017 but failed. Now i want to give papers in 2020 for both part 1 and part 2. What would be the process for that and one important thing i want to know is that can i change subjects this time??
