The OSI/FCO Chevening/Royal
Holloway University of London Scholarships offers scholarships for
independent postgraduate study in the United Kingdom for students
who are engaged in or intending to pursue postgraduate work in their
own country.

British Council Announces Chevening Scholarships
The British Council has announced that the last date
for submission of forms for Chevening Scholarship is September 7.
From the year 1983 to 2007, a significant number of 1,001 scholars
from all over Pakistan have availed the British Chevening Scholarship,
one of the world's premier scholarship schemes for higher education.

the Commonwealth General Scholarship Program for th eyear 2008.
Scholarships are fully funded and final selection will be made by

From the available DFID budget (£2 million per
annum), it is possible to allocate on average 200 awards, using
matched contributions from around 56 participating UK Universities.

DHPA Additional Awards - Key Points
- The Research Councils will provide funds for 23 additional DHPA scholars in 2007;
- Any eligible HEI may apply for these additional awards (valued at £45,000 per award);
- The additional awards will be granted on a "first come first served" basis;
- In order to apply for additional awards, HEIs must be able to secure matching funds from private partner organisations.

As part of the Government of Australia’s ongoing
commitment in assisting Pakistan in addressing its development,
education and research needs, scholarships are being offered for
PhD level study in Australia for the academic year 2007, under the
Australia-Pakistan Scholarships Program.Up to 12 PhD Scholarships
are available for immediate placement. The scholarships are generous
and include a stipend as well as full tuition fee at an Australian
