Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi (BISE Rawalpindi) was established in 1977 as an authoritative body responsible for conducting matriculation and intermediate examinations within its jurisdiction. At present time of its jurisdiction, BISE Rawalpindi conducts and control matric and inters exams for the schools and private students belonging to Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, and Jhelum.

BISE Rawalpindi conducts its matriculation exams in the month of March and while intermediate exams starts in the month of April. Results of matric are usually announced in the month of July and August while Inter exams results are announced in the month of September.
